RE reported sales of 60,113 units in March, 2017 against 51,320 units during the same time last year resulting in a growth of 17.1%.
- Domestic Sales stood at 58,549 units against 50,059 units.
- Exports stood at 1,564 units against 1,261 units.
Commenting on the sales, Rudratej Singh, President Royal Enfield said:
Royal Enfield has recorded its best ever monthly sales in the month of March 2017 selling 60,113 motorcycles in India and international markets combined posting a growth of 17% over same period last year.
Owing to our strong order book, we have cleared all BS III inventory in due time. Our customers will be receiving BS IV compliant motorcycles from April 01, 2017. Our footprint in India has grown to more than 675 dealer touch points across the country.
Note: Sales numbers presented here are manufacturer reported sales numbers i.e. factory dispatches to dealerships. They are NOT retail sales figures to end customers.
