The Nifty ends the month at a fantastic 7.8% gain. The month saw lows of 4750 and then gained over 10% to end the month higher.
The bane of October – which has a statistical history of negative returns – has proved false this year. November and December have, on average, been good months (but honestly, November’s SD is so high that it’s unreliable in terms of stats).
The Sensex, on the other hand, has a longer history.
