The Colgate-Palmolive Company is an American multinational consumer products company focused on the production, distribution and provision of household, health care and personal products, such as soaps, detergents, and oral hygiene products (including toothpaste and toothbrushes).
Today, Colgate has numerous subsidiary organizations spanning 200 countries, but it is publicly listed in only two, the United States and India.
Life Insurance Corporation of India which held 12,868,698 shares or 4.73% for the period ended 31-Mar-16, acquired a total of 774,259 shares or 0.29% (724,259 shares or 0.27% earlier this month and another 50,000 shares or 0.02% today).
With this its total stake now stands at 13,642,957 shares or 5.02%.
