Deal flow for today shows that Goldman Sachs India Fund has sold a huge stake in Crompton Greaves after the company announced demerger of its business, L&T Mutual Fund purchased stake in Dwarikesh Sugar Industries – a first time investment and Shilpa Porinju Veliyath buys stake in Tera Software.
Note: In Deal Flow, we summarize Bulk and Block Deals. A Bulk Deal is a trade where total quantity bought or sold is more than 0.5% of the number of equity shares of the company. A trade, with a minimum quantity of 5,00,000 shares or minimum value of Rs.5 crore executed through a single transaction on this separate window of the stock exchange will constitute a Block Deal.
Crompton Greaves
Crompton Greaves is an Indian multinational company engaged in design, manufacturing, and marketing of products related to power generation, transmission, and distribution based in Mumbai. It is part of Avantha Group.
The company has recently sold of its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Business outside India.
Goldman Sachs India Fund sold 4,600,646 shares or 0.74%. Though it is unclear as to the number of shares the fund currently holds, we can ascertain that its holding as of February, 2016 was 21,551 shares.
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited is an integrated conglomerate, primarily engaged in manufacture of sugar and allied products.
The company has two plants in Bijnor district and one in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh- an area with focused concentration of cane production on highly fertile land.
L&T Mutual Fund purchased 242,668 shares or 1.49%. This is the first investment in Dwarikesh by L&T Mutual Fund.
Hindustan Composites
Hindustan Composites Limited is a pioneer in the development, manufacture & marketing of Asbestos Industrial Products and Friction Materials in India for over 50 years.
Composites, with its wide range of products suitable for a number of general and specialised applications, has been catering to the diversified needs of core sector industries, such as Railways, Engineering, Mining, Aerospace, Steel, Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Power Generation, Ship Building, Atomic Energy, Electrical, Oil Exploration, Automotive, etc.
Borosil Glass Works which held 78,652 shares or 1.60% as of December, 2015 – sold its entire stake to an individual investor named Pradip Kumar Kheruka.
Tera Software
Tera Software – IT Company pioneering in the field of e-governance.
Shilpa Porinju Veliyath (rumoured to be related to Porinju Veliyath of Equity Intelligence) purchased 107,111 shares or 0.85%.
